Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson, S.C.

Fairway of the GSA services several metropolitan markets: Greenville, Spartanburg and Anderson, S.C., as well as Asheville and the suburban Charlotte market of Gastonia, N.C.

Greenville is recognized as a business, high-tech, manufacturing and engineering center. Site Selection Magazine places Greenville among the top 10 U.S. markets for locating a manufacturing facility. According to global business services provider Ernst & Young, Greenville is the center of the nation's next "mega-growth" corridor.

Spartanburg's location at the crossroads of interstates I-85 and I-26 puts it on the top of the list for business and personal relocation. More than 500 manufacturing firms call Spartanburg County home. While the textile industry is still a major component, Spartanburg County diversified its economy over the past 30 years to add such clusters as automotive-related industry, food processing and packaging, stamping and metal working, and a wide array of other industrial segments.

Anderson County generated more than $1.8 billion in announced capital investment between 1992 and 1998. A diverse group of companies contributed to these new site locations and expansions: BASF, Robert Bosch Corp., Ryobi Motor Products Corp, Michelin Tire Corp, Frigidaire and Allied Signal.

Asheville is nestled in the mountains where the Great Smokies and the Blue Ridge Mountains meet at the junctions of interstates I-26 and I-40. The Blue Ridge Parkway passes through Asheville with five entrances in the immediate Asheville area.

Gastonia covers an area of 43.5 square miles. It has a broad industrial, office and commercial base, and is the 12th largest city in North Carolina with a population of 63,700.

Fairway Outdoor Advertising has strategically located outdoor units throughout these markets in both primary and secondary arteries.
