In the early 1970s, the Kansas Agriculture Network and the Kansas Information Network began providing important news to affiliates throughout the state.
Carrying pertinent agriculture reports to farmers, the Kansas Agriculture Network quickly established itself as the most respected and listened-to agriculture network in Kansas. The Kansas Information Network soon followed suit by bringing affiliates legislative reports, statewide news and weather. Today, both networks continue to deliver to their respective Kansas audiences. Keeping up with the times, the Networks also offer special programs, "News in a Minute," "High School Scoreboard Show," "Kansas Weekend," "Kansas Shrine Bowl" and Spanish newscasts.
Morris Communications acquired WIBW-AM, WIBW-FM, the Kansas Agriculture Network and the Kansas Information Network in 1995 with the purchase of Stauffer Communications.
